Tratto dall’omonimo film di Ettore Scola, questo spettacolo narra la storia di Antonia e Gabriele, due anime sole costrette a subire le regole di un mondo che per loro ha destinato solo umiliazione e sottomissione.
La genuinità del loro incontro si contrappone alla pomposità della giornata in cui è ambientata la pièce: il 6 maggio 1938, data della storica visita di Adolf Hitler a Roma. Il loro fugace incontro rappresenta un momento di ribellione e di libertà in una realtà che non ammette dissonanze alcune.
Anche se solo per poche ore, Antonia e Gabriele riescono a ritrovare se stessi, legando così la loro esistenza ad un attimo di confidenza ed intimità , che è colmo di poesia.

Based on the film of the same name by Ettore Scola, this theater play tells the story of Antonia and Gabriele, two lonely souls forced to be submitted to the rules of a world that has destined only humiliation and submission for them.
The genuineness of their meeting contrasts with the pomposity of the day on which the pièce is set: May 6, 1938, the date of Adolf Hitler’s historic visit to Rome. Their fleeting encounter represents a moment of rebellion and freedom in a reality that does not allow any dissonances.
Even if only for a few hours, Antonia and Gabriele manage to find themselves, thus linking their existence to a moment of confidence and intimacy, which is full of poetry.
