Onder leiding van de Iraanse pianiste Fatemeh Jannati brengt het programma nieuw gecomponeerde werken, zelden gehoorde Perzische muziek en klassiek Westers repertoire samen.
De voorstelling is opgebouwd uit drie verhalende delen: Verlangen, Vervulling en Gedeelde Vreugde. Deze delen voeren het publiek langs een innerlijke reis waarin Iraanse en Europese kunstmuziek wordt verweven met poëzie over verlangen, herinnering en de zoektocht naar spirituele bevrijding.

Above My Hat Are Only the Stars is a concert that brings together music, poetry, and cultural heritage in a deeply affecting reflection on the universal themes of love and freedom. Curated and directed by Iranian pianist Fatemeh Jannati, the program unites newly composed works, rarely performed Persian music, and Western classical repertoire in a rich intercultural dialogue between East and West.
The performance is structured in different sections. Together, they guide the audience on an inner journey of transformation, weaving Iranian and European art music with poetry that reflects on desire, memory, and the pursuit of spiritual liberation.
