wordsinhere is an international collective of writers based in The Netherlands. We are writers from around the world collaborating our voices to build and initiate avenues of literary exchange between cultures, nationalities, languages, genres, and forms.
Working to inspire and encourage innovation and excellence in the writing community here and abroad, we provide a network for writers through which strengths and aspirations can be realized.
Our aim is to promote the community through our various projects, give it forum and showcase, to bring the world’s attention to the thriving and diverse energy of the Dutch literary scene while simultaneously bringing the Netherlands the world.
In Utrecht, wordsinhere hosts Salon des Mots in Hofman Cafe, the bimonthly podium for local and international spoken word and music.
The Speakeasy, in the Broederij, a monthly informal gathering of writers who want to bounce their fresh words against each other over a glass of wine.
