Elke tweede donderdag van de maand zijn de ZIMIHC sessies op de Bouwstraat te vinden. Geniet van livemuziek in een intieme en informele sfeer. De ZIMIHC sessies zijn hét trapveldje voor ambitieuze artiesten. Alle optredens zijn gratis. Er wordt wel gevraagd naar een donatie voor de artiesten.

20.30 uur: Lijo
Lijo is een maker van woorden en geluiden, constant op zoek naar haar grenzen om daar vervolgens overheen te stappen. Ze speelt met beats, loops en effecten in haar elektronische set, maar kleedt haar popsongs ook uit tot alleen een piano en haar karakteristieke stem en schept daarmee voor zichzelf de vrijheid om te experimenteren binnen haar muziek. Zo creëert ze een haast tastbare wereld die nooit stilstaat. Verspreid over ruim een jaar tijd werkte ze aan haar muziek in Berlijn, waarvan de eerste single in het voorjaar van 2018 uitkomt.

21.45 uur: Jess Hall (U.K.)
Jess Hall grew up near the coastline of North Devon and started writing songs about the quirks of love and life just before moving to the starkly landlocked Oxford seven years ago. Since that time she has established herself on the local scene with her simple stunning clarity of voice and images of coastal love and loss.
She has supported acts such as Sea of Bees and Cara Dillon as well as performing at Green Man Festival, Truck Festival and headlining the Shh Stage at Wilderness Festival. After Jess released her debut ep ‘Red Jumper’ she was described as ‘one to watch’ on the Oxford scene by Nightshift magazine.
Her debut album ‘Bookshelves’ was released in 2014 with a special sold out launch gig at the beautiful Holywell Music Room in Oxford. Jess has toured in the Netherlands, Germany, and Belgium.
