The work of Tim van der Meer plays on to the viewers primal instinct. Ideas of warmth, shelter
and protection are sharply contrasted by a fear of the dark and the unknown.
Unpretentious, low-tech materials such as smoke, wool and wood are used to transport
the viewer back to a more primitive world of basic rudimentary needs and fears.
